Amendments in Small Craft Skippers National Certification
Ref: Marine Notice 13 of 2006
Changes in the requirements for skippers’ tickets now include
1. A valid doctor’s certificate certifying the candidates general health.
Details of the medical and eyesight tests can be obtained from SAMSA.
2. The qualifying age has been raised to 18 for the following grades:
Skipper Coastal >9m, Skipper Offshore – all grades
3. The new grades are related to the length of vessel.
